How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home.
In an ideal world, your fingers would be measured by a professional jeweller using a ring sizer. Where that’s not possible the below technique will help you get a close estimate.
1. Find a piece of string or paper no wider than 1.4cm.
2. Wrap it around your finger at the base.
3. Get a pen and mark the point where the paper or string overlap.
4. Measure the string or paper from the end to the mark using a ruler and preferably in millimetres.
Alternatively, if you don’t think you can get an accurate measurement then I highly recommend buying one so you know for sure. Click here for a ring sizer that doesn’t break the bank. Here are some tips on how to get a more accurate measurement:
- Measure your fingers in the morning, this is when they are at their largest.
- Make sure that the sizer or the paper/string goes over your knuckle.
-Don’t measure cold fingers as this is when they are at their smallest.
- Measure in millimetres for accuracy.
- Fingers are usually bigger in summer and smaller in winter.
If you don’t feel like you can get an accurate measurement then you can always send me a ring that fits perfectly and I’ll return it with your new one!
